The Black Sea resort of Sochi hosts the opening of the highest Ferris wheel with the height of 80 meters on June 30. It is located in the recreation park in Lazarevskoe village.
In 2012, the country's highest Ferris wheel, located on Mount Akhun, started working at the Black Sea resort. One can observe the surroundings of the city from a height of 700 meters above sea level.
The launch of the wheel in Lazarevskoe on June 30 intends to break the world record and enter the Guinness Book of Records.
The Ferris wheel will be used for the first time in the world as a platform to perform the national anthem of the country. More than 60 people have expressed their desire to get down in history singing the hymn of the Russian Federation in the cabins of the moving attraction.
The Ferris wheel is one of the facilities built specifically for the Olympics in 2014.
